Victor Harbour, Southern Australia

Granite Island -- Home of tiny penguins seen in the night, Granite Island is connected to the mainland town of Victor Harbour by a 200 meter causeway, plied by foot traffic and horse-drawn tram since the mid-19th century.

The Fleurieu Peninsula is a popular weekend destination for the locals, both for it vineyards of world renown and its easy-going beach resorts, therapeutic for the body and the soul.
