Florence, Italy

Botticelli at the Uffizi -- Two of Renaissance Italy's most revered images are enshrined here: The Birth of Venus (1484)  and The Allegory of Spring (1482), by Botticelli.  Their evocation of love as humanity's loftiest ideal -- not to mention sensuous beauty of the highest order -- continues to strike a chord amongst admirers in the 21st century.

This photo was taken with the Canon Pro70 digital camera.
