Lake Wanaka, New Zealand

The Kiwis' Playground -- The gale-force winds have momentarily cleared the pretty lakeshore of the usual crowds. When blue skies and sunshine return, the Wanaka-Queenstown axis will revert to its usual holiday pandemonium, with hang gliders, rally drivers, speed boaters, jet skiers, kayakers, mountain bikers, trekkers and weekend picnickers everywhere.

These photos are taken with the Nikon D100 digital SLR and the Nikon f/2.8 20mm D lens.
